Verisure, one of the leading providers of professionally monitored security services in Europe and Latin America, has today announced the launch of LockGuard™ in the UK – its first smart lock fully connected to an Alarm Receiving Centre that utilises powerful break‑in detection algorithms to identify door‑based intrusion attempts.
Earlier detection of attempted break-ins and reinforced security
The front door acts as the first line of defence for any property, but it is often one of the most vulnerable points of the home, with more than two-thirds (73%) of burglars gaining access through this entry point[2].
LockGuard™ is Verisure’s first-ever smart lock that is reinforced by monitored surveillance. In addition to providing keyless entry to the home, one of its most crucial - and potentially lifesaving - features is enabling Verisure’s Alarm Receiving Centre to provide remote access to local emergency services in the event of an incident in the home - saving precious time in a crisis.
Verisure’s new smart lock is invisible to those on the outside and is fitted on the reverse side of the front door. And with more than a quarter (27%) of break-ins in the UK the result of a forced lock[3], LockGuard™ uses AI‑powered break‑in detection algorithms to identify door‑based intrusion and tampering attempts quickly.
This provides additional information that can be used by Alarm Receiving Centre agents to support improved verification and faster intervention. LockGuard™ is designed to help repel and withstand advanced burglary techniques, including bumping, drilling and extraction and is also fitted with an anti-theft cylinder.
