Urmet rolls out its advanced 2Voice Pro training course

Urmet has begun offering an advanced training course to premium installers on its latest 2Voice two-wire video door entry and access control systems. The 2Voice Pro Installer programme is aimed at companies involved on large or complex digital systems for multi-dwelling residential applications.

Despite the growth of IP, Urmet’s recent projects have continued to show strong demand for two-wire systems that allow for the rapid implementation of a feature-rich door security solution, including call forwarding to CallMe app. As part of this trend, integrators throughout Europe are currently using 2Voice at sites that require fully featured audio-video intercom systems, often from existing two-wire cable on retrofit upgrades.

Urmet is now inviting companies whose business profile, working standards and corporate responsibility are a good fit for Urmet products to become part of a select group of certified installers working on small-to-medium-sized systems, such as standalone blocks of apartments, as well as more complex sites. To qualify for the 2Voice Pro training course, the companies selected will need to demonstrate that they have secured a suitable digital system.

This is an advanced training course that is backed by engineering benefits, price incentives and permission to use the 2Voice Pro installer logo. Tuition has minimal impact on engineering time, attendees will learn how to install and configure systems using the programming app.

On completing the course, companies will receive up to two complimentary Android tablet devices, with the 2Voice Pro app and programming software pre-installed. The app is not available through the Google Play Store and can only be obtained by attending the 2Voice Pro training course. The teaching materials used empower delegates by making them part of an exclusive installer database.

2Voice Pro Installer partners will also benefit from class-leading video intercom installation and configuration techniques that are designed to avoid the need for new wiring and associated disruption or potential connection errors in cases where building security is being updated on a retrofit basis. A two-wire non-polarised (as opposed to IP) solution is well suited to projects where existing structures are undergoing refurbishment or change of purpose. These solutions are also ideal for heritage buildings, where structural disturbance has to be minimised. Taking a two-wire approach enables the installer to make maximum use of legacy cabling, with self-evident logistical and carbon footprint benefits.

Mark Hagger, Urmet’s Sales & Marketing Director, said: “The 2Voice Pro Installer programme shows Urmet collaborating with leading integrators to better serve end-users and stakeholders, including property developers, consultants and architects. Urmet has a reputation as a best-of-breed developer of IP solutions through our IPervoice IP system; but a commitment to two-wire technology also underlines our breadth of offering and responsiveness to market demand.”
