Paxton identified in London Stock Exchange’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’

Paxton, the UK market leader of electronic IP access control and door entry solutions, has been identified as one of London Stock Exchange’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. The report is a celebration of the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic businesses.

To be included in the list, companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their specific sector average. Paxton featured under the Electronic Manufacturing sector with 13 other companies, across all industries.

This follows last years’ Sunday Times International Track 200 award, recognising UK companies with the fastest-growing international sales. The ranking in both reports highlights the company’s growth in the local and global security market.

Founded in 1985 by Tony Ratcliffe, now Group Chairman, Paxton is an East Sussex based company with over 30 years’ experience in the security industry. The company currently employs 300 people at its head office in Brighton, and manufacturing facility in Eastbourne.

The company has a plan to hit £100million turnover by 2020, representing a continuation of its current growth rate which is 24% per year.

Adam Stroud, CEO of the Paxton Group says: “We are delighted to feature in the London Stock Exchange’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report. As a company we aim to inspire with original thought and innovative products, so it is a real honour to receive recognition for this, particularly as we are one of very few companies from the security industry.

The Rt. Hon. George Osborne MP said: "This year’s list of 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain is truly remarkable. The businesses and entrepreneurs in the report are a fantastic illustration of the UK’s pioneering, entrepreneurial spirit and our nation’s capacity to produce world-class innovation.
It is my pleasure to congratulate all the companies featured and London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) for all it does to support dynamic UK businesses up and down the country, as they grow and seek to achieve scale."
