Paxton, the UK market leader of electronic IP access control and door entry solutions has announced a number of fundraising commitments for 2016. All money raised by Paxton employee efforts will go towards the purchase of two cold cots (or cuddle cots) for Worthing Hospital’s Neonatal unit, which looks after children born prematurely or those with complex needs.
Cold cots are in use across many maternity departments in the UK, and allow families the time to grieve with stillborn babies.
Fundraising efforts include a calendar of activities such as quiz nights, raffles and participation in the Brighton & Hove Triathlon, taking place in early September. A team of 19 employees will represent Paxton at the triathlon which challenges participants with an open water sea swim, cycle and run along Brighton promenade.
To date, Paxton employees have already raised close to £500, which is 9% of the company’s target £5,200, the cost of two cold cots.
Adam Stroud, CEO of the Paxton Group said: “As a company it’s really important for us to engage with communities where Paxton is present, in a pro-active and relevant way. Raising funds towards the purchase of cold cots for Worthing Hospital’s Neonatal unit is a very important cause, and one that we want to support.
The staff at Paxton are enthusiastic about helping make a difference, and hope to hit the target of £5,200 with a number of fun and challenging fundraising activities.”
