The Security Event returns to the NEC Birmingham - and tickets are FREE to all Midlands businesses and undergraduate students. Taking place between 30 April and 2nd May, the event is the largest collection of security professionals and experts in Europe, bringing together the world’s leading brands and market leaders for three days of action-packed seminars, product demonstrations and networking events.

The show, now in its fifth edition, has more than doubled in size, with this year's offering playing host to more than one thousand exhibitors across forty five thousand square feet of event space. Industry professionals will be granted free access to four major leading co-located industry events - The Fire Safety Event, The Health & Safety Event, the National Cyber Security Show and The Workplace Event.

Seminars and theatres will take place across the week, with key speakers such as counter-terrorism expert Nick Aldworth, who will host a session on Martyn's Law, and Hatty Giles, Senior Intelligence Analyst and Manager at Mitie who will discuss how open source intelligence can be used to protect both people and property.

Passionate about developing future talent, the show will also host the national qualifiers of World Skills UK, a competition which pits the nation's brightest young apprentices against each other in a bid to enhance their careers. Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the LPCB Live Testing Lab, where a team of professionals will put some of the latest security products to the test, measuring their effectiveness and durability. The Designing Out Crime Zone will showcase the latest police techniques to reduce crime and keep local communities safe.

Tristan Norman, Group Event Director of the Nineteen Group, said: “This year sees the show return bigger and better than ever before, combining the best products and brightest talent from across the industry. We’ve also put together a packed seminar programme filled with experts on topics such as AI, DEI, and cybersecurity ready to pass on their advice to guests across three days.

“With a total of six shows on offer and free tickets available for all, there will be something for everyone, no matter their sector”.

The Security Event is open to all security professionals working in the commercial and residential market, and students of undergraduate level and above on relevant courses of study are welcome to attend the show.
