Custom Consoles experiences successful TSE 2023 with highest ever attendance

Custom Consoles reports a well attended and successful TSE (The Security Event) with highest-ever attendance and strong interest in the company’s range of security control desks and video monitor supports. Held at the NEC, Birmingham, from April 25th through 27th, the show attracted a record-breaking 11,231 visitors – the largest number in its four-year history. It was supported by over 275 exhibiting companies with a 43% increase in occupied floorspace compared with the previous year.

“TSE provided a useful opportunity to demonstrate the versatility and robustness of our newly introduced MDesk-Technical HA height-adjustable heavy-duty workstation,” says Gary Fuller, Custom Consoles’ Sale Manager. “Potential and existing customers alike appreciate the ability to get hands-on experience of our products at trade shows, including the mid April Protect & Deter exhibition in Towcester. With its 66 cm to 125 cm desktop height range, MDesk-Technical HA gives operators the freedom to match their personal preference including the option of sitting or standing.

“MDesk-Technical HA conforms to Custom Consoles's high standard of engineering and robust construction, ensuring a long working lifetime as well as easy repair in the event of excessive wear or accidental damage. All desks in the series are constructed from CDF carcasses with Marmoleum or laminate work surfaces, edged in a matching PVC. The base section incorporates two 5U-high 19 inch racking sections behind access panels. MDesk-Technical HA conforms to the high standard of cable management implemented across all Custom Consoles desks and monitor walls. LED lighting illuminates the front of the base legs and PC enclosures.

“We also exhibited at TSE an example from our long-established SteelBase range of control desks, equipment pods and side units.  SteelBase is used and trusted by customers across wide areas of the security-monitoring, transport and process control sectors here in the UK and around the world.”

SteelBase desks are built around very high strength steel frames with hinged lockable front and rear doors, guaranteed for five-years against component failure. They can be configured for use by individual operators or teams of practically any number without the cost and long delivery time usually associated with project-specific furniture. Each bay includes a sliding shelf which gives easy access to internally stowed PCs. Predrilled monitor arm mounting points are positioned at the rear upper edge of each bay. Cable management features include a removable worktop section with dual brush strips providing an uninterrupted cable exit for telephones, monitor cables and computer peripherals. SteelBase desktops are available in a choice of 120 cm (standard) or 100 cm (SteelBase Lite) front-to-back sizes with a choice of hard-wearing Marmoleum or laminate work surfaces.

Video monitor displays form a vital element of many security control rooms. Custom Consoles exhibited a single-section example of its MediaWall monitor frame support system which is used by security service providers and broadcasters in many countries. MediaWall can be scaled to practically any required width and height from easily assembled horizontal beams and T-slot mounts. Custom Consoles also offers on-site assembly. Individual or multiple sections can be configured to form self-supporting frames or coupled directly to the studio wall. Video displays can be positioned so that the edges meet exactly to form a continuous horizontal display limited only by the screen bezel. Related devices such as loudspeakers and clocks can be attached easily with all connecting cables fully concealed.
